Also, it's a state holiday today (Seward's Day). You'd think that street parking would be free. Nope. Even though the parking company says "Street meters are free during Municipal holidays. Visit EasyPark's website for a list of the FREE days." on their FaceBook page.
Meh, it was cheaper than valet parking (since the hotel doesn't have a parking lot).

In all fairness, a state holiday is not the same thing as a municipal holiday. Nonetheless, tweeting these two statements 14 minutes apart is asking for confusion. And, I can't find the list of free days anywhere on easyparkalaska.com
